Known to the parishioners as ‘The Sheds’,
Connolly’s of Clontarf holds so many fond memories for me.
This poem is a tribute to the whole Connolly family, but in particular to the late Tom Connolly.
The Sheds is a great example of

John Kite was the first Dublin fireman to lose his life in the line of duty. A granite plaque now stands on Trinity st where he fell to flame 140 years ago. I was very humbled when my good friend, retired firefighter and historian Las Fallon invited
